Oilers Drop a Pair to Start Colorado Classic

The Casper Oilers dropped their first two games of the Colorado Classic on Friday. The Oilers lost game one to the Colorado Bobcats 5 to 2. The Oiler defense was responsible for 7 errors in the contest. In game two it was the Oilers falling 3 to 1 to Playball Sports. Casper (8-12) will take the field Saturday at 2:30 and 5pm against both squads from Playball Sports.
Oilers Rained out Thursday

The Casper Oilers have been rained out in Parker Colorado for Thursday. The Oilers will play for Friday at 11am at All-Star Park in Lakewood, CO against PlayBall Sports and PlayBall 17′s. More information on the weekend will be posted as soon as we receive it.

The Oilers double header agianst the Torrington Tigers has been cancelled due to rain. The Oilers will head to Parker, Colorado for the Colorado Classic Tournament Thursday, June 11th.

The Casper Oilers dropped a pair of home games Monday, June 8th. In game one Cheyenne Post 6 defeated the Oilers 11 to 4 and in game two it was the Westco Zephyrs handing the Oilers their tenth loss of the season by a score of 10 to 2. The Oilers (8-10) will look to rebound on Tuesday as they travel to Torrington, Wy for a doubleheader against the Tigers.
Exhibition – Dinner on the Diamond

The Casper Legion Baseball Club will be hosting the 7th Annual Dinner on the Diamond Friday, June 19th. The Oilers will also take on the Casper Ghosts in their annual exhibition game. Casper Gets One Before The Rain.

The Oilers were able to get one game in at Sheridan on Friday. The Oilers came away with a win in game one of the double header defeating the Troopers 7 to 1. Brandon Watson (4-0) went the distance on the hill for his second complete game and fourth win of the season. The Oiler offense was lead by Alex Hill and Lane Fischer who each had 3 hits a piece.
Game two was delayed in the bottom of the 3rd with the Oilers on top 3 to 1 before the game was called due to rain. The Oilers (8-8) will head to Miles City, MT for a DH at 3 & 5:30pm.
