Oiler Practice Cancelled

Oiler practice for Tuesday May, 11th has been cancelled.  Check back for May 12th.

Practice May 6th

Practice will be held from 4pm to 6pm at the Lansing Cages for both teams.

Practice for Tuesday

Practice for Tuesday May, 4th has been moved inside due to the wind.   Oilers 5:30 to 6:30pm and Drillers 6:30 to 7:30pm at Pineview.

As of 4:30pm Friday, April 30th The Plan Is…..

As of 4:30pm Friday April, 30th:  Rapid City has dropped from the Varsity Snowball.  The Oilers will now play Sunday, May 2nd at 12pm against Gillette and 2:30pm against Cheyenne, both games at Powers Field in Cheyenne.

The Drillers will play in Cheyenne, Saturday May, 1st against Cheyenne, at Powers Field at 12pm, and then play Gillette, at Pioneer Park at 2:30pm.

Both teams will leave the Lansing parking lot at 7:00am on their respective days and return home the same day.  All players need to arrive at the parking lot no later than 6:45am on their respective days.

Oilers Cancelled For Friday

The Oilers game in Cheyenne for Friday April, 30th has been cancelled due to weather. We will make these games up in the middle of the week  next month.  All Oilers need to report to Crossroads for a quick meeting at 4pm Friday April, 30th.

Oilers Host Snowball Series

The Casper Oilers will host the Snowball Series this Saturday and Sunday at Lansing Field.  The Oilers will play a conference game with the Gillette Roughriders at 11am.  Saturday’s schedule will follow up with Gillette and the Sheridan Troopers at 1:30pm, and Cheyenne Post 6 and Sheridan at 4:oopm.

The Oilers will start off Sunday against Cheyenne Post 6 at 10am, which will be followed by the Cheyenne and Gillette matchup at 12:30pm. The weekend comes to a close with the Oilers and Troopers at 3pm.

This will be a great weekend of baseball, so come out and support the Oilers.

Oilers Split to Open the Season

The Casper Oilers split the first two games of the 2010 season on Saturday. In game one, Lane Fischer went the distance on the mound to pick up the win and the Oilers were able to claim the first conference game of the season from the Gillette Roughriders, 6 to 4.  Fischer, along with, Alex Hill, and Chris Haley each had two hits a piece to lead the way offensively.

In game 2, the Oilers found themselves on the flip side of things as they took a hard loss to Cheyenne Post 6, 15 to 4.  Clint Ide and Eli Ford had two hits a piece for the Oilers.  The Oilers committed six errors in the game.  Casper will take on Cheyenne Post 6, again, at 10am in Gillette on Sunday.

Cheyenne Post 6 took the nightcap from Gillette, 7 to 2.  Gillette will face the Torrington Tigers at 12:30pm on Sunday.

2010 Oiler Home Tournaments

The Casper Oilers will be hosting two tournaments in 2010.  The George Tani Memorial will take place from June 24th through the 27th.  The Oilers will also host the Mike Devereaux Tournament from July 8th to July 11th.  For more information in regards to either of these tournaments please contact Coach Schoonover at 307-259-0268 or at Skoon42@hotmail.com
