The Oilers came away with a sweep over the Gillette Roughriders on Sunday at Lansing Field to finish out the weekend home stand. In game one, Brandon Watson (3-0) worked a complete game to earn his 3rd victory of the season. The Oiler offense rallied for 4 runs in the bottom of the 7th to take the game 6-5.
In game two, Eli Ford (1-0) earned his first victory, pitching 5 solid innings only allowing 1 earned run as the Oilers took game 2 13-5. Ford also had a 2 for 4 day at the plate with 3 RBIs.
The Oilers (5-6) will take to the road this week as they head to Southwest Wyoming to take on the Evanston Outlaws and Rock Springs Mustangs.
