The Casper Oilers split a doubleheader with the Sheridan Troopers today at Lansing Field to open their home schedule.  In game one the Oilers squandered a 3 run lead in the 7th and fell to the Troopers 10-9.  Casper pitcher Zane Mathson (0-1), took the loss in relief.  Eli Ford added 4 RBIs. Aren Williams and Martin Vasquez added 3 hits a piece for the Oiler offense.

Game two saw the Oilers spot Sheridan a 8 run lead through 3 innings.  Casper chipped away though and eventually added 9 unanswered runs of their own to win game two, 9-8.  Casper relief pitcher Lane Fischer (1-0), earned his first win by pitching an impressive 4 and 1/3 innings, allowing only one hit and zero runs. Zane Mathson had a huge game at the plate going 3 for 4 with a grand slam, triple, double,  3 runs, and 6 RBIs.
